About Us

More than 55 years ago, in 1958, two brothers, Dan and Frank, borrowed 600 dollars from their mother. Not to buy a car, not to travel someplace, not to move alone in an apartment. But to found one of world’s biggest companies and chains in the food industry. They borrowed the money to open a pizza place in Wichita, Kansas, which they named Pizza Hut. Not for any special reason, but because their sign only had room for eight letters. It was the taste and quality of their pizzas that gave this name a value, not the other way round.

From day one, the Carney brothers could look their customers in the eye and promise them the finest pizza in town, because they knew the farmers who grew the ingredients, and they knew those farmers cared about quality. A promise that they could keep also when they opened new restaurants across America, and later on, when their chain extended abroad, growing to 14,100 restaurants worldwide and 300,000 team members in more than 100 countries. With the most recent in Tirana, Albania.

What makes Pizza Hut attractive for the Albanian customers is its new formula, different from the Italian pizza that we are used to consume. Pizza Hut’s crust is thicker, allowing for more ingredients and therefore, more taste. Considering we are a community of pizza (and food) lovers, Hut will be very soon our new obsession, because it offers a whole new taste and experience.

It is a family business designed for families too! And like any other family business, there is something really personal, friendly and familiar in this entrepreneurship. Pizza Hut considers and treats its clients like a family it wants to make happy through tasty and healthy food, that is why it has worked hard through decades to create the best tastes in the world: Margherita, Pepperoni, Veggie, Supreme, Supreme, Farmhouse, Chicken Supreme.
